Photography Week in Review for January 21, 2007-January 27, 2008

How many times have you thumbed through a camera manual and wondered what the letters RAW, NEF, TIFF and JPEG stood for? And how many times have you returned from vacation with more shots that needed to be deleted from your digital camera than ones that you considered framing? Finally, when was the last time you seriously evaluated your work in an effort to improve your shots? These are just a few of the topics I discussed in the Photography Blog this past week. Each post includes tips and answers to some of the most commonly asked questions involving the aforementioned topics.

January 24thCameras and Video Gadgets for the Business Traveler. Certain types of cameras can turn the average traveler into a multimedia professional. During the first few weeks of 2008 a new crop of high tech photo gadgets have been introduced to the market. This blog details some of the most popular.

January 26thPhotography Terms You Should Know. In a blog that should have been posted months ago I have finally compiled a list of commonly used digital photography terms. While it doesn’t include every single word or term used in the field, it does provide enough information to help you navigate your way through a camera manual and it will allow you to meet with a camera salesperson without wondering if he or she is speaking English.
