Politically Speaking: Do You have Issues?

What do you think is the greatest challenge facing this country at this time? Which issues do you consider the most important, politically speaking, especially for this election cycle?

I’ve heard many people discussing healthcare options, some hoping for government healthcare.

Some are more concerned with other social issues, while for others, the war is the most important concern by far, whether for it or against it. Foreign policy is a major point of interest and covers many and varied issues. Should we do more in some areas? Are we doing too much in others?

Change is a word we hear often, and change can be a good thing. If it means actually getting rid of corruption. Many people are tired of business as usual. Is corruption one of your issues?

The economy is big news and money backed by something more than the paper it’s printed on has been a topic of much debate.

The wedge issues like abortion, gay marriage, and gun control seem to have been pushed to the back burner, at least for now. They’ve been mentioned sporadically, but nothing like the usual frenzy surrounding these issues. Are any of these important to you? Do you see politicians from either side actually doing anything about any of them?

Maybe things like wiretapping, REAL ID, and other items that many see as encroachments are your focus, which leads us to the last point, at least for this article. There are of course many, many more issues to discuss.

Last (for now) but certainly not least, that old piece of paper signed with a flourish by men devoted to freedom is an issue all too often forgotten. Candidates rarely mention the Constitution (much less act in accordance with it). It’s served us well so far but if we continue allowing its erosion, the very freedoms that make this country great, will be gone. They’re far more difficult to win back than they are to protect while we still have them.

Is freedom your issue?
