Product Spotlight: Inks and Crop-a-dile

The scrapbooking industry produces many new products each year. Many of them are products that we won’t get a lot of use out of, but I would like to share a few products I have seen recently that have some really amazing potential to become staples in your scrapbooking stash.

The Essential Glue Pad. Tsukineko is a company that is well established in the stamping industry and they have just come out with a very innovative product: the Essential Glue Pad. Using this stamp pad enables you to complete great embellishments for your layouts quickly and with great results. You simply use a stamp and gently stamp it onto the glue pad. Then apply the stamp to your paper. You can then pour a variety of materials onto the glue such as pearlesent powders, chalks, metallics, and ultra-fine glitter.

The Crop-a-dile. This tool from We R Memory Keepers promises to set eyelets and punch holes with ease. This can punch through a variety of materials such as chipboard, cardstock, leather, and tin. It can punch both 1/8 inch and 3/8 inch holes. This is a silent setter so you could use it late at night while your kids are sleeping. The olny drawback I found was that it cannot reach further than 2 inches from the edge of you paper.

Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink. This ink from Clearsnap will give you a chalked look when you use it on your projects. You can use it with stamps to create a soft look on your page. You can also use the stylus that is included with the inkpads to create interesting designs by heating it near a light bulb and then molding it into whatever shape you want. The inkpads can also be used alone to ink the edge of your page.

Do you have a product you love that you would like share with us? Is so, you can just tell us about it in the comments below or contact me so that I can feature it in a future blog.
