Saturday Layout Challenge: Beyond the Favorites

This layout challenge really has me motivated this week. I have spent the past several months playing around a little in my scrapbooking. I am hoping that these ideas will get you motivated to try some new things too.

Today’s Challenge:

Your layout challenge for this week is to go beyond the traditional favorites list and look at specifics in your life. For instance, the question has been posed “What is your favorite thing to wear?” Go beyond the normal answer of perhaps “jeans and a t-shirt”, and showcase your favorite pair of shoes, your favorite t-shirt, your favorite hair accessory. Think about your favorite meal in the world to prepare. Why do you love preparing that meal? What is your favorite candy bar and why? Who is your favorite person and why? Go beyond the normal questions for favorites: color, subject, scrapbooking tool, food, and delve deeper. Showcase your favorite piece of artwork in your house, or your favorite part of being a mom.

Do not limit yourself to just one scrapbook layout either. If you are compelled, create a mini album, or a number of layouts to intersperse into your main albums, or an about me album. Whatever your heart desires.

Why do I do these challenges:

I am doing the weekly layout challenge for several reasons. One, I want you to get your photographs out of storage devices and onto your layouts, and two I want to help you brainstorm ideas, as well as use up your stash of supplies. If there is something you would like to see or something that you need to work on that I might be able to incorporate into a challenge, let me know.
