Have you ever look back in your scrapbooks and found a layout that you couldn’t believe you made. Perhaps it was one of those “What was I thinking?” moments, or perhaps you really don’t care what your earlier layouts look like. It certainly does show a growth. Either way, it can be fun to go back and update an old layout.
It really is not that hard to update a previous layout either. Sometimes all it needs is a few added embellishments, or maybe just a few stickers removed. Do you even still use stickers? Maybe you don’t like how they look, and removing them would be one way to update the layout.
If you actually like most of your older layouts, you could try something a little different. Add a photo hinge and create a mini album on your page. Or change the title, journaling or add a quote. Sometimes all a page needs is a mini tweak and it is good as new.
Not everyone wishes to change their old layouts. I have left many of my in the original format, but sometimes I do like going back and updating one from time to time. If you do decide to change up one of your past layouts, I hope you’ll snap a picture of the before and after and show it off.
Why do I do these challenges:
I am doing the weekly layout challenge for several reasons. One, I want you to get your photographs out of storage devices and onto your layouts, and two I want to help you brainstorm ideas, as well as use up your stash of supplies. If there is something you would like to see or something that you need to work on that I might be able to incorporate into a challenge, let me know.
