Scrapbooking Seasonal Smiles

Mom, can I have a dog for Christmas? No, you’ll be getting turkey like everyone else.

What did Adam say on the day before Christmas? It’s Christmas, Eve.

What do you get if Santa goes down the chimney when a fire is lit? A Crisp Cringle

What do snowmen eat for breakfast? Snowflakes

Thank you. Thank you. I’ll be here all week.

Nothing sets off a hearty round of ho, ho, hos than a silly seasonal riddle or two.

During the height of the holidays, Christmas-themed jokes are not reserved solely for the kiddos to swap in the backseat of the car on the way to grandma’s house. Rather, they can be used to help spice up scrapbook layouts, which showcase the fun and laughter shared by kids of all ages, as they gather around the Christmas tree.

What nationality is Santa Claus? North Polish.

What do elves learn in school? The Elf-abet!

What do you get when you cross a snowman with a vampire? Frostbite

What do you get if you cross Santa with a detective? Santa Clues

These are just some of the cute quips that can be used to embellish your Christmas layouts. Simply add holiday-themed jokes and riddles to accent your scrapbook journaling blocks or pen them in as page borders.

My second grader is a real jokester. Whenever I am looking for a good laugh, I just volunteer for carpool and I am guaranteed giggles listening to my kid and her friends exchange word gags in the back seat. If you don’t have mini comedians to rely on for your material, check out these other super sources for holiday-themed jokes, riddles, funny poems and rhymes: Christmas at the New Yorker, Funny Poems for Christmas by Paul Cookson, Redneck Night Before Christmas, and Santa Got Stuck in the Chimney by Kenn Nesbitt.
