Scripture Cake recipe

I just stumbled upon this wonderful idea. I love it! Really, this doesn’t have to be for Easter. You could do it anytime, but I think that I will add it to my Easter activities. The boys are going to a Birthday party on Friday night and the girls will be doing this.

Here is how it works. Instead of ingredients being listed, there are scriptures. You need to look up the scriptures and figure out what the ingredient is supposed to be. I have listed the ingredients in tiny print at the bottom of this blog, but try to do it without peeking.

INGREDIENTS
4 1/2 cups 1 Kings 4:22
1 cup Judges 5:25
2 cups Jeremiah 6:20
2 cups Nahum 3:12, chopped
2 cups 1 Samuel 30:11
2 cups Numbers 17:8
2 teaspoons 1st Samuel 14:25
1/2 teaspoon Leviticus 2:13
2 teaspoons baking soda

DIRECTIONS:
. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch pan.
. In a large bowl, combine flour, milk, sugar, figs, raisins, almonds, honey, salt and baking soda. Mix thoroughly.
. Pour into prepared 9×13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 40 minutes, or until edges fall away from pan.
