Seasonal Savings in San Diego

left

Fall is here, and if you’re a fan of gorgeous sights, but not fond of chilly temperatures, then consider savoring the season in San Diego. Autumn is spectacular in the popular southern California city, which boasts warm weather and breathtaking views of Mother Nature’s handiwork.

Fortunately, you don’t have to drain your wallet to experience fall’s beauty in the waterfront communities that call San Diego County home. Right now, a slew of local properties are offering money-saving vacation packages loaded with extra value for visitors, including:

Hotel Solamar: Located in San Diego’s historic Gaslamp Quarter, the Hotel Solamar is offering a “Hang Ten, then Hang Out” surf package. From now through the end of December, you can enjoy deluxe accommodations, surfing lessons for two in Coronado, transportation to and from the hotel, complimentary lunch, in-room morning coffee and tea service, a hosted evening wine reception and 24-hour access to the in-house fitness room for just $269 per night, plus tax, with a minimum two night reservation.

US GRANT Hotel: Just in time for the November elections, the US GRANT is featuring a 2012 Presidential package. The luxurious property located in the heart of downtown San Diego is going all out by giving guests the key to its massive presidential suite, a 30-minute helicopter tour of San Diego with round-trip limo service to the heliport, plus a chef’s tasting dinner for two at The Grant Grill. Rates start at $2,012 per night, and while that may sound steep, if you consider that the helicopter ride and dinner alone are nearly $1,000, the remainder of the package is a steal.

Best Western Plus Inn by the Sea Hotel La Jolla: From now through December 31st, the scenic Best Western Plus Inn by the Sea Hotel La Jolla, is offering an affordable “Just for Fun” package. The deal includes deluxe ocean-view accommodations, two tickets to a show at the Comedy Store and a large pizza at Amici’s East Coast Pizzeria. Rates start at $199 per night, plus tax.
