Seductive Summer Shots

Summer’s sweltering temps often translate into a lot less clothing worn by people who should be wearing a lot more clothing. I recently got an email from my cousin in New York City, who felt compelled to share a disturbing image he snapped at a local pool. The photo attachment revealed a woman wearing a dental floss bikini bottom, which showed off her pierced upper rump.

Personally, I found the photo to be incredibly revolting, but my cousin said that some of his friends found it intriguing, which just goes to show that a picture of a woman’s pierced coin slot can be seductive to some.

When I think of seductive photos I imagine a model soaking in a bubble bath with one leg dangling out of the tub. The focus of the shot is on the extended leg with a hint of the bubbles and water in the frame. Or, along the same lines, I think of a sexy shower shot which places the model’s leg in the middle of the frame with a foreground of steam. I also find the idea of shooting an entire silhouette behind a shower curtain to be very seductive.

Another way to add a little sizzle into summer photos is to shoot outdoors. Just remember to check your lighting before taking aim at your subject. When shooting outside you will want to make use of as much natural light as possible. For example, if you want to take a seductive shot of your girlfriend, then head to the beach and have her carry a surfboard while the sunsets behind her. For added sex appeal have your girlfriend place the board over her torso and waist, but keep her arms, legs, shoulders, and cleavage exposed. Then, use the setting sun to further enhance the shot. The warm tones of the “golden hour” will add softness and seduction to the shot.
