Single Parent Flexible Work: Become a Consultant

One way to find flexible work is to make it. Having your own business is a great way to find flexible work. I know a lot of people are saying “Easier said than done.” You are right. It doesn’t have to be really hard though either. You don’t have to make a company in the Fortune 500 to make a living.

I am an Usborne Educational Consultant and Representative. I run this business the way I want, I enjoy what I do, and I feel great about what I do. I have a large market, and with a little creativity, it can be larger still. I love the products that I offer. I can make a real difference in the world.

Becoming a consultant for a company is the fastest way to get a business up and running. You need to find a product that you truly love, so the customers can see what a wonderful product it is. You do have to research them, and really read their policies. Some start up costs are more than others, and some companies give special start up kits every month. There are even a couple out there that are free. You’ll want to make sure that there are low and preferably no minimum purchases, because you don’t want to be stuck buying a huge amount of product you don’t want or need just to make the minimum. You will also want to make sure you join a company and a team that won’t send you your starter kit and then leave you hanging, you’ll need training, and someone to go to for help.

If this is the way you decide to go, you will want to have a part time job while you are getting up and running. You want to make sure you have money for necessities while you are building your client base, and when you go through any slow times you may have. It’s not easy, but it is definitely worth it.
