Soap Star’s Wife Gives Birth to a Peanut

Apple meet Peanut. For real.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter has got nothing on “General Hospital” star Ingo Rademacher and his fiancee, Ehiku’s new son. The unfairly gorgeous couple welcomed a baby boy into the world on July 11th and decided to name their new addition “Peanut.”

No joke.

Peanut Kai Rademacher was delivered via a home birth at the actor’s home in Malibu and is reportedly “healthy and happy.”

Rademacher, who plays Jax on the popular ABC soap opera, says he and his fiancee started calling the baby Peanut while he was “cooking inside of mommy” and decided to keep the name after he was born.

“It kind of represented joy and happiness to us,” Rademacher told Soap Opera Digest. “It puts a smile on everyone’s face.”

As for the name “Kai,” the hunky actor says it’s Hawaiian for “water” and honors Ehiku’s Hawaiian roots.

Peanut Kai will get to show off his unique moniker in the Aloha State when the family travels there next year. Rademacher says he and Ehiku plan to tie the knot in Hawaii with their Peanut water boy in a few months.

I admit; I did call my daughter “Peanut” when she was about a year old, but I also called her (and still do on occasion) “punkin,” “boo boo,” “sweetie,” “hon-bun,” and “monks.” Though, I wouldn’t consider putting any of those on her birth certificate.

But, hey, it’s Hollywood… and goodness knows stranger baby names have been filed with social security.

What do you make of the name “Peanut?”

Somehow I doubt Susan Lucci would approve of her grandchild being named after a popular snack.

We’ll learn what the “All My Children” star’s next offspring will be called when her daughter actress Liza Huber gives birth in the next few months.

The 33-year-old soap star just confirmed that she is expecting her second child with husband Alexander Hesterberg. The couple are already parents to a 19-month-old son Royce Alexander and Huber tells Soap Opera Digest that the pregnancy comes at a perfect time, as her run on the daytime serial “Passions” comes to an end with the show’s finale on August 11th.
