Some Things ARE Unmanageable

Are you someone who thinks that there isn’t ANYTHING you can’t do or handle? Do you assume that whatever comes up in your home business you will be able to sail through with just some focus and effort? Sometimes, the best thing you can do is to actually admit that things are unfixable, unmanageable and cut bait…

Now, I don’t want you to think that I am advocating quitting and giving up as a regular strategy—BUT, sometimes we can get so “dug in” and determined to tackle and fix an insurmountable difficulty, that we let other things slide, and end up wasting a great deal of valuable time on something that is out of our control or far too big of a problem or situation for us to tackle on our own.

Have you ever been involved in an incredibly challenging problem and found that it was only AFTER you finally let go and walked away that the solution became apparent and available? Well, sometimes in the business world, there are those problems, difficult clients, bureaucratic messes and other situations that are truly unmanageable. The wisest thing a person can do can actually be to let go and walk away, leaving the problem officially un-solved.

So, if you find yourself banging your head against the wall or struggling for hours trying to get someone else to do something or control and manage a situation that is truly completely out of your hands—the most reasonable, cost-effective, and wisest thing to do can sometimes be to acknowledge and accept defeat and turn your energy and attention to better things. This doesn’t mean that you are a failure, and often there are many valuable lessons that can be learned from these big, hard, unmanageable, business problems. So, even if you are walking away, you’re not really walking away empty-handed.
