Spring Break Snapshots

I can’t get Pink’s “Raise Your Glass” out of my head. Only, when I think of my upcoming spring break photo shoot in Chicago, I contemplate changing “glass” to “camera” and using it as my theme song.

I’m just a few weeks away from job shadowing a portrait photographer in one of the most photographed metropolises in world. I can’t wait. I love Chicago and getting the chance to shoot outdoors in the Windy City with one of my favorite pro photographers is an opportunity of a lifetime.

Of course, Chicago is not the only place in the world that offers spectacular backdrops. The following cities are also among the most photographed on the planet. If you are looking for a spring break destination that yields phenomenal photo ops, then consider visiting:

DENMARK

Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, Denmark is regarded as one of the most photogenic places on earth. Tivoli has served as the backdrop for legendary photographs taken of world leaders and famous entertainers such as the Beatles to ordinary family portraits. The area is home to an outdoor theater, bandstands, flower gardens, thrill rides and outdoor cafes.

BERLIN

Berlin is considered one of the most vibrant cities in the world. It is known for its beautiful parks, stunning architecture and historic landmarks. However, many professional photographers flock to Berlin to capture memorable shots of the city’s nightlife, which features a diverse crowd from businessmen to buffed bikers.

HAWAII

The Hawaiian Island of Lanai is home to some of the most breathtaking beaches in the world. It is also one of the most well preserved, unspoiled spots on earth. The south side of the island boasts marvelous white sand beaches, swaying palms and crystal clear waters. It’s the perfect place to photograph relaxed and content people.

CALIFORNIA

The Venice Beach Boardwalk in Los Angeles, California offers a hodgepodge of skaters, jugglers, artists, street musicians, comics, fortunetellers, mimes and just about any other exhibitionist under the sun. You can capture the most interesting mix of people within minutes of arriving at the boardwalk. Plus, Southern California’s picture-perfect weather makes taking well-lit shots a breeze.
