Springtime may be my favorite time of year. I like all the seasons but fall and spring are really great, with mild temperatures and all the changes they bring. Fall brings changing colors and spring brings fresh, colorful life in the form of green leaves, green grass, and gorgeous flowers.
Spring is the best time of year for do it yourself and home decorating projects. Spring is a time of change, and after being cooped up inside all winter many people are more than ready for change. Spring can also provide inspiration for the colors you choose when decorating your home. New color trends are usually popping up everywhere this time of year, or you can choose your colors from nature.
Bring on the vivid colors and fresh new looks!
Do it Yourself
One of the good things about doing do it yourself projects in the spring is that you can get outdoors to work on various things. Many people just simple do not have enough space indoors to build or repair items that they want to work on. Even if you have a large garage or a basement, it can be difficult. Plus, you may not want to get sawdust all over the place! Working outdoors also gives you a great excuse to get outside in the fresh air.
Home Decorating Projects
If you plan to paint, spring is the best time of year. It’s not too hot or humid yet, so you’re paint is more likely to dry completely in the suggested amount of time. It’s also great to be able to open windows and doors to get some fresh air ventilation. Any items other than walls that you wish to paint can be painted outdoors to avoid indoor fumes altogether.
