Star Updates: He’s Free, He’s Here and He’s Baaack

HE’S FREE

Free at last! Hulk Hogan’s son is out of jail.

While many believe Nick Bollea should have stayed behind bars for at least a few years, the former wrestler’s son is a free man today.

The 18-year-old was released from a Florida jail shortly after midnight and reportedly ran into the open arms of his sister Brooke before flashing a peace sign to the paparazzi.

Bollea served just 166 days of an 8-month jail sentence for his involvement in a 2007 car crash that left his best friend and former Marine (who served time in Iraq), John Graziano with permanent brain damage. According to police reports, Bollea was racing through a busy street and crashed his father’s car critically injuring Graziano.

In May, Bollea pleaded no contest to a felony reckless driving offense and was sent to jail.

According to officials at Florida’s Pinellas County Jail, Bollea was released early due to “good time” credit.

Parents in Florida take note: Bollea will likely be behind the wheel as soon as tomorrow.

HE’S HERE

Actress Gillian Anderson has a new guy in her life.

According to reports, the “X-Files” star is mom to a new son named Felix.

The baby was reportedly born in London on October 15th and weighed in at 6 pounds, 15 ounces.

Felix is the second child for Anderson and her boyfriend Mark Griffiths. The couple already has a 23-month-old son Oscar. Anderson also has a 14-year-old daughter Piper from her first marriage to Clyde Klotz.

HE’S BAAACK!

Actually, he never left… much to the chagrin of some “American Idol” contestants.

Simon Cowell is shooting down rumors that he is planning to quit show business next year when he turns 50.

The only problem: Cowell is the one who started the rumors.

The notoriously acerbic “American Idol” judge previously announced to reporters that he planned to step out of the spotlight after he reached the major milestone in October 2009.

But, now, the star is backtracking – insisting he intends to continue with his reality show projects.

Lucky us…
