Sudden Inspiration

Most of the time, I feel like I am working and plugging away at my home business. I don’t necessarily feel bogged down, but I cannot say that I am one of those people who you see on television interviews who claim that they have the “ideal” job and that they are getting paid to play. Usually it is over-paid celebrities who really are playing for pay who say this but occasionally an entrepreneur will share that he is living the work-less dream. That is not me. That is probably whey when I get those sudden bursts of inspiration, it can be such a delight.

We occasionally talk here in the Home Business blog about where to go for ideas and inspiration and suggestions for how to grow our businesses and stay motivated, but I want to point out that sometimes, the best ideas can come on with a sudden blast—as if being struck by lightening or having a bright lamp illuminate a room. Sure, sometimes this happens after we have puzzled and worked and tried to come up with an answer and it is only when we finally let go that we get that burst of sudden inspiration, but it can still seem magical.

It can come at any time—lying in bed trying to sleep or upon first waking up in the morning, washing dishes, pushing your cart down the aisle at the grocery store—the great thing about those sudden inspirations and our home businesses is that it can make a murky problem become suddenly clear. It can also help us see a new path or a new direction that we are meant to take our businesses in. We need to cherish them where we can find them and welcome those bursts of sudden inspirations—as if our businesses depended on them.
