Summer Concert Scrapbooks

left

Country music may reign supreme deep in the heart of Texas, but here in Northern Wisconsin people are quite fond of boot scootin’ too. In fact, the Dairy State is home to one of the premier country music and camping festivals in the nation, Country USA.

My country music-loving neighbor just returned from the multi-day concert which featured the likes of Sugarland, Keith Urban and The Band Perry. She ended up renting a VIP RV with a bunch of friends rather than camp in a tent. Judging by all of the photos she shared with me, she and her pals had a blast during the festival.

Now, comes the hard part: Sorting through all the pictures and crafting a concert scrapbook that does justice to her incredible summer experience.

Creating concert memory albums allow you to showcase your love of music while highlighting standout moments from the event. Whether you are using photos you snapped at a summer concert or one that you attended in spring, fall or winter, consider including the following:

Taste in Music: Use a journaling block to express your thoughts on how your taste in music has changed over the years. Have you always loved the band or performer you paid to see or are you a relatively new groupie?

Special Songs: Are there certain songs you especially liked seeing preformed live? What songs were your favorites? How do they make you feel when you hear them? You might consider adding the lyrics to a favorite song to a layout. Experiment with different fonts to make the words pop.

Musical Talents: Do you sing or play a musical instrument? If so, were you inspired by the talent you saw on stage at the concert? One way to jazz up a concert page is to include stickers, stamps or die cuts of various musical instruments that were used at the concert or ones that are especially near and dear to your heart.
