The bathroom, ie: The Library

As a mom to 2 kids, finding time to read is not easy. Every time I try to cuddle up with a book, I have a nose in the pages that is not mine who decides it’s too boring because there are not any pictures. Or it is ripped from my hands and my page is lost for eternity.

There is only one place I can actually get some privacy. Though it is never guaranteed quiet time, the bathroom is one place where I can often hide and get a chapter in. I actually have a stack of books that are “easy” readers. To me, an easy reader is a book that has quick, easy to read chapters with easy catch points.

Build it Big” is one example of an easy reader. The book is divided into shorter articles that can be read separately. It is not one of these books where if you are interrupted, you find yourself having a hard time jumping back into it. Trust me, I have many “business” and “motivational” books that I still have to swim past the first chapter or two. Though many of them have gotten good reviews, I have a hard time reading “text” book info. It took a while, but I’m finally learning what to look for before bringing a book home. Though I think Donald Trump has a lot to say, his books do nothing for me.

Another great place to read is in bed after the kids have gone to sleep. However, I often find myself either so exhausted that I can’t focus, or too interested in the book that I’m up for hours trying to finish the book.

No matter where you decide to read, it is important to read daily. CANI will help improve your business, your mind, and give you an escape.

Right now I am reading “Inside Every Woman” by Vickie Milazzo. Oddly, this is one of the books I got from being a Bzz Agent. For those of you who are not familiar with Bzz, it is a company that focuses on word of mouth marketing. As an agent, you can sign up for “campaigns” and can receive free products. I will spend more time on Bzz in the near future.

One reason I like this particular book is it has easy to read sections and talks about finding and building upon your passions, committing, and other great tips. Don’t worry, I’ll keep you updated on what I get from this book.

What are you reading today?
