The Best Answer I Can Get For Now

dollar sign Recently, I got approved for what I believe might actually be an affordable health insurance policy. My insurance broker did a great job of helping me to find one, and to apply for it. I’m still trying to find out what the premiums will cost, but, I’ve been given the best answer that I can get for right now.

I highly recommend using an insurance broker to help you find a good, affordable, health insurance policy. My broker was able to answer all my questions about health insurance in general, and about the plans that she gave me quotes on. She even helped me to apply for the policy that my husband and I decided would be the best one.

Earlier this week, I got an email from the office of my insurance broker. It had great news! I had been approved for the health insurance policy that I applied for. The insurer informed the insurance broker of this news, who, in turn, had someone from her office inform me.

Unfortunately, the email I got from the insurance broker’s office did not specifically state the exact price that the premiums would be. I sent a reply email, asking for that very important piece of information. Of course, I sent it too late in the day for anyone to be at the office and able to immediately answer it. That’s my fault.

Today, I got an email response from the office of the insurance broker. It is not a direct answer to my question, but, it is the very best answer that I can get for right now. I feel like the insurance broker, or, the employee of the broker who is corresponding with me through email, is doing her job to the best of her ability. The problem, once again, is with the insurance company.

Originally, I was quoted that the premium for the policy I applied for would be $134.00. This is a price that I can afford. The email said that the employee at the insurance broker’s office believes that my premium will be $134.00, for now. She thinks that it will go up to $138.00, due to my birthday coming up. She thinks that the premium might stay at $134.00 for the next six months, but she cannot be certain of any of this.

Why not? It is because the insurance company has not yet entered the price of my premium into their system. I’ve no idea why the insurer is dragging their feet about this, but they are. My hope is that the booklet of information that goes with this policy will arrive in my mailbox soon, so that I can find out, for certain, what this health plan is going to actually cost me every month.
