The Best of the February Marriage Blog – Letters of Love

Typically I write about my Best of Moments at the end of the month, but I was a little tied up at the end of February this month. But I wanted to take a few moments here, while we are still at the beginning of March to talk about what I think was our best of February Marriage Blogs.

The Letters of Love series was very near and dear to my heart. When I initially conceived the idea, I thought I would get a small handful of letters to publish from one reader to someone in their life they loved. We were doing a number of other series during this time: Love Notes where Sherry and I shared a number of romantic tips for Valentine’s Day and the every day. In Love Letters we also took a look at some great romantic tales.

But Letters of Love stood out because many of the letters that were sent to me for publishing brought tears to my eyes – from the military wives and husbands waiting at home for their spouses to return to the widow who wrote a letter of love to the new companion in her life to the mom who wrote a letter of love to her children.

Touching Tales

I felt extremely privileged to share these letters of love and for me, personally, they added to my overall enjoyment of the Valentine’s holiday. I have to admit that overall, I love to write for the Marriage blog and to share the creative and informative services with Sherry because there always seems to be something new to write about and new to do and to explore – but Letters of Love is going to have a very special place in my heart.

Though we did Letters of Love as a Valentine special, I think we will bring it back for future holiday events including Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and much more. Did you enjoy the Letters of Love this last February?
