The F Factor Diet

Fiber and protein at every meal makes losing weight no big deal” according to Tanya Zuckerbrot, dietitian, nutritionist and mother of three.

Every diet has a key. The key to this one is fiber. The F Factor.
According to Zuckerbrot, “The American Dietetic Association recommends that Americans get between 25 and 30 grams (of fiber) a day. The average American is only getting between nine and 11 grams a day. The F-Factor Diet recommends 35 grams of fiber a day, and while that might seem overwhelming, it’s actually quite easy to do.”

Zuckerbrot recommends kicking off each day with a high-fiber cereal and fresh fruit, both great sources of fiber. She suggests snacking on nuts, high fiber crackers, fruits and vegetables.

According to Zuckerbrot’s website, following this diet will not only help you lose weight but you’ll see improvements in your skin, hair, energy levels, and cholesterol levels. You’ll also reduce your risk factors for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, colon cancer and breast cancer. She promises followers that they will always be full and satisfied and never feel deprived.

Discovery Channel in Miami decided to test the F-Factor diet with its own employees. After two weeks, the average weight loss was about seven pounds and after two months the average weight loss was 16 pounds. Now this isn’t much. In fact it is only an average loss of about two pounds per week but if you have the time and the patience to go with slow, steady weight loss that very well could lead to a lifetime of holding it off, this may just be the diet for you.

The bad news is that you simply cannot do this diet without reading the book “The F-Factor Diet: Discover the Secret to Permanent Weight Loss”. Zuckerbrot sells it through her website for about $17.00 U.S.
