The Fitness Blog Week in Review April 30 – May 4

It’s the weekend and if you’re like me, you’re probably tired from the long week. We wrapped up our Spring Forward to Action challenge and swimsuit season has officially begun. With the dawn of the summer months, we’re going to focus our attention outside whether it’s out of the house, out of the office or out of the gym. In the meanwhile, let’s take a look at our week in review:

Monday, April 30

Spring Forward to Action: Week 4, Day 1 kicked off our final week of the Spring Forward to Action Challenge with increased physical activity designed to give us a more rigorous challenge. It’s time for our End of April Fitness Goal Check and it’s important to take a good look at where we’ve been before we get to where we are going.

Tuesday, May 1

In Spring Forward to Action: Week 4, Day 2: Happy May Day we take a look at how we can celebrate May with better fitness and more. There are also 5 Great Fitness Gifts for Mother’s Day if you are looking for some ideas for your mom, his mom, your wife or sister and more.

Heather Long is 35 years old and currently lives in Wylie, Texas. She has been a freelance writer for six years. Her husband and she met while working together at America Online over ten years ago. They have a beautiful daughter who just turned five years old. She is learning to read and preparing for kindergarten in the fall. A former horse breeder, Heather used to get most of her exercise outside. In late 2004, early 2005 Heather started studying fitness full time in order to get herself back into shape. Heather worked with a personal trainer for six months and works out regularly. She enjoys shaking up her routine and checking out new exercises. Her current favorites are the treadmill (she walks up to 90 minutes daily) and doing yoga for stretching. She also performs strength training two to three times a week. Her goals include performing in a marathon such as the Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness or Team in Training for Lymphoma research. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience through the fitness and marriage blogs.
