The Fitness Blog Week in Review: November 11-17

Welcome to the end of an eventful week, as I described in last week’s Fitness Blog Week in Review, I’ve been trying to quit smoking. I slipped this week and you’ll see more on that in Day 11: Falling off the Horse later on today, but in the meanwhile, here is our Fitness Blog: Week in Review.

Sunday, November 12

In Day 5: My Throat Hurts and My Sinuses Hate Me I described how I was doing in the cravings department, although Saturday I was miserable ill. We thought it might be the detoxifying, but as it turns out it was definitely a cold. In Give Yourself Weight Loss for the Holidays we talked about how to work on losing weight and halt gaining weight during the holidays. In Protect Your Children & Yourself From Type II Diabetes we talked about November being American Diabetes Month and how it’s a good time to think about our health and the health of our children.

Monday, November 13

In Day 6: Smokeless & Going Strong we talked about my continued battle to be smoke free and that it seemed to be getting easier. In Can You really Help Someone Who Is Trying to Quit Smoking? I offered some tips and suggestions for how friends and family can help a smoker quit. In What’s the Best Way to Boost Your Mood? we tackled different mood enhancers and in this case, we talked about exercise.

Tuesday, November 14

In Day 7: I Slipped, But I Think It Was Good I discussed the one cigarette I had and how it made me feel. In Scoring More Points for Kid Fitness we talked about the AP Press report that announced major snack food companies were going to adjust their marketing campaigns in order to stop promoting unhealthy products to kids.

Wednesday, November 15

In Post-Natal Fitness: So You Just Had a Baby we talked about what you need to know in order to get started on post-natal fitness after you have a baby. In Day 8: Do You Try To Make Bargains with Yourself? I talked about the surprise I felt at not being satisfied with the slip up and smoking and how I was trying to fill the void that smoking was leaving.

Thursday, November 16

Obligations and more kept me away today, but a day off never hurt anyone.

Friday, November 17
In Friday Fitness Funnies – Coffee or Tea? we poked fun at our caffeine habits and in my case, Starbuck’s addiction. In Post-Natal Fitness: The Marvelous Mid-Section we continued our Post-Natal series and discussed exercises to tighten the tummy back up.
