The Fitness Blog Week in Review November 18-24

Good morning and Happy Saturday – what a crazy week this has been. For me, it involved taking some much needed down time and time off from the writing. Though you saw blogs from me here, most of these were written ahead of time when I could and others were written on the fly. My daughter and I planned to do a lot together this week, but she came down with a nasty cold at the beginning of the week so we spent a lot of our week snuggled up together and watching movies as we nursed her through her cold.

With just two days to go before school starts back up, she is feeling better. We’re pulling down the Christmas decorations and starting the arduous task of redoing our home in the festive image – and even as I type this, she is doing the finishing touches on some handmade ornaments that we will be adding to the tree. This week, she will also turn 6 years old and I can’t believe that it’s been six years since she was born – it really does feel like it was only yesterday. Still, we did cover some interesting ground this week so let’s talk fitness:

Saturday, November 18

Day 11: Falling Off The Horse continued my chronicles of trying to quit smoking, it got off to a promising start, but it’s a lot harder than it sounds and though I am far from giving up – falling off the horse was a setback. Friday, November 24

It was Black Friday and retail stores were pulling out all the stops in order to get out of the red and back into the black. To that effort, I was out of the house most of the day and we skipped our usual round of Friday Funnies and more.
