The Fully Washable Wireless Keyboard

I have an absolutely horrible time keeping my keyboard clean. Whenever I get a new keyboard I usually vow “This one I’m not going to eat near” or “This one I’m going to keep my coffee cup away from”. I usually last a week or so, but by week two or three me, my coffee, and my bagel are happily typing away as crumbs slowly become lodged permanently within the confine of the keyboard. Today I found a solution.

The company G-Tech has created a wireless keyboard made from ElekTex Smart fabric. The keyboard can be connected to your computer, PDA or Smart Phone wirelessly, used, and then rolled up and put away.

The size of this keyboard appeals particularly to me. I sometimes like to use a wireless keyboard with my desktop computer, but when the keyboard is not is use it’s hard to figure out where to put it since it is so bulky. This wireless keyboard rolled up, making it perfect for travel, or to keep around as a spare in a time of need.

The absolute best part of this keyboard however is the fact that the entire thing is completely washable. When you have your morning coffee at your desk and accidentally drip some on your keys, or drop some crumbs onto the keyboard, all of it can be washed off just like it never happened.

For someone like me this keyboard is perfect. I haven’t actually owned one, so I wonder if I would miss things like the clicking of my keyboard, or the keys actually going down when I press them. From the looks of the pictures on their website this keyboard is essentially a piece of fabric with the keyboard printed on it. Overall a pretty spiffy idea I think, and a great one for messy people like me!
