The Gift of Professional Cleaning

Forget the Dyson; I now have a new Christmas wish gift-—a maid. My BFF got the best Christmas present yesterday: six months’ worth of professional housecleaning services. She is entitled to five regular cleanings and one heavy seasonal cleaning, which includes:

Dusting corners, ceilings, and walls, including photo frames and artwork

Cleaning windows, window screens, and window treatments

Scrubbing interiors and exteriors of kitchen cupboards and drawers

Cleaning ceiling fans, light fixtures, and vents

Cleaning the oven, microwave, and dishwasher

Shampooing rugs, carpets, and upholstery

Talk about the gift that keeps on giving. I have never dreamed of asking for professional cleaning services as a gift, but after hearing what my friend gets with her Christmas package deal, I am more than a little jealous.

Her husband was the one who came up with the brilliant idea and according to him; there were a number of cleaning services that were willing to modify existing packages to meet his wife’s specific needs and wants. He hired Maid Pro, but there are several other reputable companies to consider, such as:

Merry Maids

Molly Maid

Cottage Care

Maid Brigade

The Maids Home Service

Maid to Perfection

The Cleaning Authority

Each of the aforementioned companies offer customized packages, so you get exactly what you are looking for. In my friend’s case, her husband wanted to make sure that she received help during her annual spring cleaning routine. With more hands on deck to get her deep cleaning done, she will have more time to work on other projects. What’s more, the pros will also bring in their own cleaning solutions and high-end tools to help remove stubborn stains or address other issues, such as mold and mildew.

If you are planning to experiment with professional cleaners, you might consider making a checklist of all the necessary chores you want accomplished and be sure to communicate which tasks you prefer to do yourself, such as cleaning antiques or organizing your children’s closets.
