The Let’s Talk Blog Mid-Month Review

We’re halfway through the first month of the year, and already have touched on some interesting topics! I’ve really enjoyed reading everyones comments and hope that we can continue discussing pregnancy-related issues so openly.

We opened the month by talking about pregnant bellies in Let’s Talk About Handling Unwanted Belly Touching. Let’s Talk About Handling Unwanted Belly Comments got several comments, and I’m not surprised – it’s a serious issue for many pregnant women.

If you’re looking for help in choosing a baby name, Let’s Talk About Naming Your Baby offers plenty of suggestions – some well-known, and some not so obvious.

I started off a collection of home birth-inspired articles with The Let’s Talk Blog Top Ten – Reasons for a Homebirth. If you’ve ever wondered why some women consider homebirth, that blog will give you some insight. I then gave a comprehensive list of supplies in Let’s Talk About Your Homebirth Supply List.

Just for fun, I threw in some celebrity gossip in Let’s Talk About Celebrity Births.

Still in the vein of homebirth, I listed important questions to ask when interviewing a midwife(CPM) in Let’s Talk About Interviewing a Homebirth Midwife. Then, get a unique insider perspective from Let’s Talk Interview – With the Midwife, where I interveiw an actual homebirth midwife.

Let’s not forget the important issue of birth attendants. Let’s Talk About Who to Include at Your Homebirth can help you decide! Let’s Talk About Having a Lotus Birth touches on the interesting practices regarding the afterbirth, and what you can do with it if the Lotus option isn’t right for you.

A small collection of cesarean-related articles started off with Let’s Talk About Elective Cesareans, a frank discussion about the risks of elective surgery. Emergency c-sections and other birth complications are addressed in Let’s Talk About Dealing with Grief from Birth Loss. I then gave tips on avoiding surgery in Let’s Talk About Avoiding a Cesarean-Section. More tips are offered in The Let’s Talk Blog Top Ten – Ways to Achieve a Normal Birth.

A four-part series about family design started with The Let’s Talk Blog Top Ten – Reasons to Have Children Early in Life and The Let’s Talk Blog Top Ten – Reasons to Have Children Later in Life, and ended with the issue of sibling placement in The Let’s Talk Blog Top Ten – Reasons to Have a Large Sibling Age Gap and The Let’s Talk Blog Top Ten – Reasons to Have a Small Sibling Age Gap.

Get your official diagnosis for the most hushed pregnancy complication in Let’s Talk About “Pregnesia”, then come back soon. I will continue this month with more top ten lists and a discussion about our birth stories!
