The Pets Blog Week in Review for May 14-20

I flew solo again for part of the week until Thursday. Then Aimee came back with, among other things, tales of her adventures with Lally and Moose during their cross country trip to their new home. Here’s what other topics were addressed in the Pets Blog:

Monday, May 14

Um, everyone needs one day off, right?

Tuesday, May 15

Tabby, Tabby, Tabby. It was all about Tabby. First, an account of how even the best vets goof, then about her “disturbing” new behavior.

Wednesday, May 16

I’ve really been into themed days lately, so when I found one about Sea-Monkeys, I couldn’t resist covering it. See: Have you hugged your Sea-Monkeys today?

Thursday, May 17

Summer is coming and vacation (the beach in particular) is on my mind. I hate leaving the cats behind, but it’s generally easier (and less expensive) for me to find someone to care for them than it is to put Murph up somewhere. That’s why I was delighted to find Cape San Blas: the ultimate dog beach vacation spot. Aimee returned!!! And what better way to come back than with the first installment of her “Adventures on the road”: Moose’s Great Escape. (This is the pizza delivery story I told you about in last week’s week in review.)

Friday, May 18

Along with themed days, themed weeks have been on my radar. Hence, DogFriendly.com: Dog-Friendly Vacation Planning Made Easier in honor of National Tourism Week. Another themed day inspired creation courtesy of International Museum Day was Museums and Pets. Aimee examines the advantages of a nervous dog in the next installment of her “Adventures on the Road” series.

Saturday, May 19

Aimee’s no longer on the road, but her adventures with Moose and Lally are continuing nonetheless. This time it has to do with getting used to a new home, new surroundings, and a new routine. See: Retraining.

Sunday, May 20

Perhaps the motto, “As American as baseball, hot dogs, and apple pie,” should be changed to include “wild horses” in there as well. Aimee brings up a good point about their importance to our heritage and why we should participate in Wild Horse Protection Efforts.
