Thin Crust Pizza
Yum! Homemade Pizza!

INGREDIENTS:
1 package active dry yeast
3/4 cup warm water
1 1/2 tsp shortening, melted
1 tbs sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp oil
1/2 lb mild italian sausage
1/2 cup each choped onion, chopped green peppers
8 oz pizza sauce
10 oz mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
4 oz sliced mushrooms, drained

DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven 425 degrees. Melt shortening and measure 1 1/2 tsp.
2. Soften yeast in water, add shortening, sugar, and salt. Stir in 1 cup flour.
3. Gradually add remaining flour to form a soft dough. Turn onto slightly floured dough, knead until smooth and elastic.
4. Brush a 14 inch round pizza pan lightly with oil. Roll dough to flatten; press evenly over bottom of pan.
5. Crimp edges to form a slight rim. Bake 10-15 minutes. Remove sausage from casing; crumble into skillet.
6. Cook over low heat about 10 minutes until cooked through. Drain sausage.
7. In skillet, saute vegetables in 1 tbs of oil until tender. Spread pizza sauce over dough.
8. Top with vegeatables, sausage, and mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
9. Bake at 425 degrees about 15 minutes until crust is golden.
