Tips To Make Scrapbooking a Priority

scrapbooking page kits layoutsIt feels selfish to make scrapbooking a priority, doesn’t it? It sounds like a demand more than it could ever be a special request. But if you don’t make your scrapbooking a priority, how do you ever plan to get anything done?

There are a few simple ways to make scrapbooking one of the top things on your list of “to do” items, even when you think you do not have the time to do it.

Here are a few tips or pieces of advice, to help you obtain your goals of scrapbooking more.

Plan

Use a Planner/Calendar. There are dozens on the market for any type of person. There are some for moms, some for scrapbookers or crafters and some for those that own businesses. You are sure to find something. When you get up in the morning, check your planner. Find out what you need to do that day, and then get it done. Keep your to-do lists in there, list of goals and any important dates.

Prioritize

There’s that word again, priority. Figure out what needs to get done first, see if there is anything you could delegate to another family member and no matter how much you don’t want to do it, allow them to help. This will free up your time immensely and allow you a bit more time for scrapbooking.

Pencil It In

Put scrapbooking on your task list or to-do list. If you pencil in the time, you are a lot more likely to get some time in for actual scrapbooking. Seeing it in print is often an enforcer. Make the time, and stick to it.

Two Things At Once

It’s formal name is multi-tasking, but sometimes people get freaked out when they hear that. So let’s just call it doing two things at once. Read your favorite scrapbooking magazine while you are eating breakfast or lunch or waiting for an appointment, put together page kits while watching television, and listen to a CD or watch TV while you are folding laundry. Doubling up on tasks will get them done a lot faster and allow you to finish everything. End goal: To give you more time to actually scrapbook.
