Tuesday Teasers – Flex Your Brain

Let’s work on exercising our brains. When I was in school, I had a great teacher for homeroom three years running. Every day, we would arrive in the classroom and there would be a problem on the board. The first thirty minutes of the day was devoted to that problem. They became more complex over time. So with that in mind, I want to introduce a new feature to our Fitness blog.

We’re going to call it our Tuesday Teasers. We’re featuring it late this Tuesday, but on most Tuesday mornings, you should be able to find our Tuesday Teaser up first.

So to get started, here is our first Tuesday Teaser:

Word Scrambles

Try to unscramble the word jumbles to make 6 common words. All letters must be used:

lcpein
ngaore
tpmcuore
rryblai
ctodro
rgaorpm

Logic Problem

You are trapped in a room with two doors. One leads to certain death and the other leads to freedom. You don’t know which is which.

There are two men guarding the doors. They will let you choose one door but upon doing so you must go through it.

You can, however, ask one man one question. The problem is one man always tells the truth. The other always lies and you don’t know which is which.

What is the question you ask?

Ally’s mum has four children.
The first child is called April.
The second May.
The third June.
What is the name of the fourth child?

Solutions

The solutions for these Teasers will be posted next week. So what do you think? Also, if you are interested in different kinds of teasers, be sure to send in your suggestions. I love the idea of adding more teasers as we go along.
