Wednesday’s Weekly Challenge-Leftover Christmas Card Challenge

I know what you’re thinking. Christmas is over! Well, do you still have those cute Christmas cards you got in the mail lying around. Are you thinking….”I don’t want to just throw those away!” Well, maybe you don’t have to. Have you ever thought of scrapping them? While some cards I get are from people I don’t know that well, I still may want to take a look at the card and see if there is a piece of the card I want to keep.

So many cards now come with decorative designs on them that would make a great addition to any layout. Many of them include a cute Christmas tree, ornaments, or Santa. Could you cut those off, and add them to your layout? Of course.

Or what about scrapping that letter from your favorite Aunt? It had so much cute information about her kids, and you don’t want to forget. So, why not find a creative way to scrap the letter and picture you received, and make a page about those cousins that you love.

What about your own Christmas card that you sent out? I always like to save a copy of mine I want to scrap it as part of my Christmas memories that year so that I can remember us at our best. Picture perfect.

Whatever you decide to do, the rule this week is to scrapbook a Christmas card in some form. You can scrap just the picture of a family you love, cut off a cute design and use it as embellishment, or scrap the whole card itself. The purpose of this challenge is so that you don’t just toss all those cards in the trash. So many people put a lot of work into those. Whether it be the time mailing them, or getting their family to pose just right, you might as well give them the respect they deserve! Try scrapping them today.
