Weekend Weddings–Scott Baio FINALLY Ties the Knot

So much for being 45 and single.

Producers of “Scott Baio is 45… and Single” need to change the title of the reality TV series. Because now Scott Baio is 46… and married.

The actor kissed his bachelor days goodbye last night when he tied the knot with longtime gal pal Renee Sloan (with whom he has an infant daughter).

According to PEOPLE magazine, the former “Happy Days” star and self-proclaimed “life-long bachelor” wed Sloan during an intimate ceremony on the roof of a luxury high-rise building in Los Angeles.

Ironically, the vow exchange was filmed for an episode for the second season of VH1’s reality show “Scott Baio is 45… and Single,” which premieres next month.

According to the magazine, the wedding was witnessed by a small group of family members and friends, including Sloan’s 18-year-old daughter and the couple’s newborn daughter.

Have you ever watched Baio’s reality show? I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but does anyone else find it strange that the former “Charles in Charge” star can go decades without marrying (or impregnating) any of the many, many women he has dated, BUT in the course of filming one season of a cable reality show he becomes a father and a husband… in that order?

Granted, he dated Sloan in the late ‘90’s after meeting her at the Playboy Mansion (they remained friends and reconnected a few years ago) and his own parents have been married for more than 50 years, but I can’t help wondering what Vegas odd makers have to say about Baio’s nuptials.

The odds might favor Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough’s marriage more than Baio’s. Though, they do share the same wedding date.

The 34-year-old boybander wed his longtime girlfriend Leigh Boniello Saturday in his hometown of Orlando yesterday, according to news reports.

Wedding guests say the couple exchanged vows in a traditional Catholic ceremony in front of hundreds of family members and friends.

The couple met seven years ago when Boniello, a film-exec-turned-real-estate-broker, was working as the Backstreet Boys’ webmaster. After six years together Dorough popped the question to his ladylove during a New Year’s party.
