What are You Giving Your Honey for Christmas?

Okay, so you probably don’t want to say what you’re giving him or her this year, in case he or she might see it, but what about all the great gifts you given in the past? Would you like to share some of those ideas?

I love thoughtful gifts, not so much “practical,” but truly thoughtful gifts. The kind that take some thought and effort to pick out, the ones that tend to light up faces. I love to pick out just the right thing and watch my husband’s big brown eyes light up and his lips turn into that cute, little lopsided grin (yeah, he’s completely adorable!).

I have given him all sorts of gifts, but he’s nearly impossible to surprise. When it comes to tools or parts for his beloved computer, he’s very particular, so I usually have to ask him which one to buy. I hate that.

So, once his big gift is out of the way, I spend the rest of the season trying to find something thoughtful to give him that will be a surprise. So far, he’s figured out quite a few of them or the kids have slipped in their excitement and told him. This year, I’m going to surprise him, although at this point, I still have no idea what that surprise might be. And, I’m not telling the kids once I find it!

Christmas giftsLet me just take a moment to remind all the practical husbands that a vacuum cleaner is not romantic, and is generally frowned upon as a Christmas present (unless she really, really wants a new one).

Check back next month for some great gift giving ideas for men and women. Until then, keep your eyes open for great finds and stay away from stuff that’s for the house instead of your spouse!
