Still, the fact is that Barack Obama is becoming the 44th President of the United States and that this change of hands is worth noting.
In my kids homeschool circles, they tell me that other kids spend a great deal of time complaining about Barack, even now that the election is over. This clearly comes from the households.
While I don’t condemn anyone for being unhappy about the presidential choice as that is your right, I encourage you to take the time now to appreciate the inauguration for the historic moment that it is.
We have a new president during a time of crisis.
We have the first black president ever in the United States.
This really could be the beginning of the end of post-racial America.
These are things that kids should be aware of and possibly taught about. Instead of gloom and doom in the disappointment of the new presidential choice, kids should also be able to follow the good that also comes with the event.
