What is the Fat Flush Plan?

Somebody on the Beyonce’s Maple Syrup Diet Forum asked about the Fat Flush so I thought it might be a good topic for a blog. The Fat Flush is another Detox Diet plan that doesn’t just leave you after a few weeks of dieting. It demands the incorporation of a lifestyle change. Let’s be honest here, folks. The only way to get slim and stay there is to change your lifestyle. Yo-yo dieting every time you put on extra weight from eating carelessly just isn’t smart or safe. It is a far, far better thing to lose the extra pounds and then maintain the loss. It is also a whole lot easier!

The Fat Flush plan offers quick initial weight loss and lasting weight control by addressing five key issues: liver health, water retention, fear of eating fat, excess insulin, and stress.

There are three phases to the Fat Flush plan.

Phase 1
gets you started with 1100-1200 calories a day for the first two weeks. A low calorie count like this is likely to jump start anyone’s weight loss efforts if they are currently on an eat whatever you want, whenever you want sort of plan.

Phase 2 is for ongoing weight loss, for those of us who may need to lose more than we can in the initial two weeks. Calorie counts are from 1200-1500 calories per day. Phase two loosens the reigns a bit and allows for more food choices so that you do not feel as restricted as you might by following phase one for longer than two weeks. You’ll follow phase two until you reach your goal weight.

Phase 3 is for long term maintenance of your goal weight and allows 1500 calories per day. This is the lifestyle phase that you need to stick with to make the weight loss permanent.

Now, before you go off just counting calories and thinking you’re doing the Fat Flush, I have to tell you it isn’t that easy. The Fat Flush is a very detailed diet that requires reading and following the book. It calls for a specific amount of protein, the use of flax, CLA and GLA and even apple cider vinegar. If you’re interested in starting the Fat Flush, please go to your local bookstore or library to get the book. You’ll need it for this.
