What to buy and when

Have you ever gone out to purchase something for your home, only to see a few weeks later that the same item you purchased was on sale for $200 less than what you paid for it? You then kick yourself for not waiting a while longer to purchase that item.

Most stores have a pattern of how and when they place certain items on sale. Some of these patterns make obvious sense, such as corresponding with holidays. Others have no rhyme or reason to them. Certain foods can be seasonal, which could be very helpful when building your stockpile. If you know what the sales are going to be and when, you can start getting prepared by looking for coupons or rebates, to be ready when the sale gets here.

For more information about when the best times to buy things, visit “What To Buy And When“. This thread in the Families.com Deals section will tell you when you can expect certain items to go on sale so you can be better prepared and keep a look out for them. If you are planning to make a purchase for your house, like a new air conditioner, when is the best time to catch them on sale and get the best deal? What if you need to get some new tires for your car, when is the best time to buy? What if you would like to stock up on bug spray and repellants; when would be the best time to look for deals and sales on those items? Check out the thread mentioned above so that you can take advantage of buying during “off” seasons.

With things being so expensive these days and the prices just keep raising, we need to take advantage of every money saving possibility there is. It can also give you a reason for buying something nice for yourself with the money you have saved.

About Jody Connolly (Benjaminna)

I am a married SAHM of five (and one cat)! My oldest daughter is 12, a diva ready to take over the world. My 10-year-old son, my informer, loves to make sure everyone is doing what he or she is supposed to (although he is no angel). I have an 8 year old daughter, who is just one of a kind. My 2 1/2 year old daughter, her own little personality is shinning through, and so are her terrible twos. And last but not least, my 1-year-old son, who is just the happiest and most content baby in the world. Things I love to do: coupons, rebates, read, color with sidewalk chalk, blow bubbles
