Do you love to read? I am an avid reader, and I can’t seem to get enough of books. I have piles of books that I’ve read several times, (and wouldn’t dream of giving up). I’ve got a few piles of books that I’ve been meaning to find time to read. I’ve even got books that I started to read, and intend to finish “someday”. Reading is very important! It’s a great way to relax. It’s a quick way to take a mental vacation, when you don’t have time, or can’t afford, to take a real one. Parents who enjoy reading raise children who become avid readers. Reading books is a great way to learn about a subject that you are not very knowledgable about, but want to learn.
Powells Books is located in Portland, Oregon. The store itself is something you should see in person if you find yourself in the area. I haven’t been there yet myself, but I keep hearing great things about the variety, and quantity, of books that can be found at Powells. Fortunately, you don’t need to live in Oregon to enter this sweepstakes!
To enter the sweepstakes go to the Powells website. Enter your email address into the box, and click the box that subscribes you to their newsletter, which you will get by email. You could win 30 signed editions! The Powells 2010 Signed Edition Collection include books from a variety of genres. Here are a few titles that are part of this sweepstakes: “The Widows of Eastwick: A Novel” by John Updike, “The Double Comfort Safari Club: The New No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency Novel” by Alexander McCall Smith, “Dog Days (Diary of a Wimpy Kid #4)” by Jeff Kinney, and “Medium Raw: A Bloody Valentine to the World of Food and the People Who Cook” by Anthony Bourdain, just to name a few. All 30 of the books have been signed by the author when he or she visited Powells, or came for a book reading.
You can enter this sweepstakes, just once, and you must enter before September 30, 2010. Prizes will be issued by October 22, 2010. Winners will be randomly selected by Powells, as they choose one email address from the pool of entrants. Good luck!
