I am currently living in Europe. Last year I was seriously ill and housebound for several months. Online grocery shopping made life much easier for me! I didn't use Amazon, but just one of the regular supermarkets that had an online store, and ordered enough to last a week or so. They promised "delivery to the kitchen" and true to their word, the boxes were put on the kitchen units, so I didn't even have any lifting to do. I managed to buy just about everything, from non-perishables like rice through to milk and frozen vegetables. I missed the experience of browsing round the store and picking up spontaneous purchases, but in my time of need it enabled me to have just a little bit of independence which meant so much to me!
