I believe that a children's library should have a full variety of books appropriate to their reading level and age. I don't think that anyone is going to completely agree with the selection provided by their child's librarian or public school system, but just like t.v., we have the power to select what our children watch or to tell them that a certain book is not to be brought home from the library again and why. To Tristi, respectfully I say, let the book you don't approve of stay in the children's section and if they happen to pick it up, let it be a tool to discuss your ethical, religious or moral perspectives to your child.
