BioClarissa is a wife and mother, a yoga instructor and a freelance writer. She most recently has moved back to her home state of Virginia. Her family enjoys playing games and going for Saturday walks at "Sunday Park" (a local gathering place in her community). She is a mother of a 7-year old boy and step-mother of a 12-year old girl. Her family also has two cats and a dog who are all more than full of personality. Besides being a legal secretary for several years, Clarissa has lived in Japan where she taught ESL through the JET Program. She met her husband in Harrisonburg, Virginia, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in English from James Madison University. After taking on various occupations throughout the first five years of marriage, Clarissa and her family decided that she needed to find a more satisfying path. Yoga quickly surfaced as both a wonderful outlet for creativity as well as for leading people to improved mind and body health. Surrounding Clarissa's search for alternative careers were many moves brought on by her husband's work. Since 1999, Clarissa and her family have lived in West Virginia, Tennessee and three cities in Virginia.
