Tips for getting started

Yeah. I'm not going to start her yet, though, as she's not walking on her own. She's soooo close, though. I get the feeling she'll not be too hard to train once we get started.

They often use both names or a nickname in the Mexican cases. Can't get over some of these horrid names!!

You've got that right, Beth. Lizzy's starting to say a few words now. Sometimes they sound like English, sometimes like Spanish.

Bravo! You did the right thing, in my opinion. He's clinging to you and probably even using you as an excuse to not get on with his life. It's much healthier to do what you did.

How did you name your kids?

Yeah, my mom is Mary Jane (and in the sixties, you can imagine how her late teens and early twenties went as far as teasing) and my sister is Jene' Marie.

My (ex) spouse is Mexican. I was born and raised in the U.S. My mom's parents immigrated in 1938 to escape the Nazis. My father's family was already there for the Revolution.
