Personal Prayer and How it Soothes the Soul - Blog Entry

Your story has touched me deeply. May I offer one suggestion, write down every given to you that day by the Spirit. As you write down this heavenly comfort, more will pour out and continue to do so as long as you supplicate your Father in Heaven for it. Speaking spirit to spirit, or speaking to the heart as some of the brethren define it, is the clearest way our Father in Heaven communicates with us. Thank you for sharing this incredibly beautiful story.

Both of you are absolutely right. I remember my first experience of when someone clearly drew that line between church and business, defending their behavior with that argument. The sadness in my heart was great, overwhelmed only by the shock. But I must say, I have also met untold numbers of people who do live their religion 24/7 -- for these people I am very grateful.

No problem. She is a wonderful person and was a joy to interview. Her books are amongst my favorites as well. Her, dare I say it, effervescent (Did I spell that right? It looks wrong.) personality is simply infused into everything she does!

A very good point. I love my nephews and nieces as much as if they were my own. There are great many things I would do for them that I would never consider otherwise. They are young for so short a time and the pride and pleasure that beams out of their faces as I wave and drive off is truly amazing. I'm getting a warm fuzzy in my heart just thinking about. As soon as it's a reasonable hour of the morning I'm going to go see those kids!

I have very fond memories of FHE as a child myself. The most distinct is that each of us would take a turn doing the lesson, the treat and the activity. It made us, as children, feel a very integral process of teaching the family. And I remember those molasses popcorn balls. Wow, did your post bring back a distinct memory. I need to call my mom and learn how to make those! Thanks.
