Suicide and the Gospel - Blog Entry

I think the brethren have given us great hope in this situation. Indeed the Lord is the only one who truly knows the intent of our hearts. He loves us so much and will afford us every mercy He is allowed. He paid for so much -- we have to trust that our loved ones will be where they are happy. We as Latter-day Saints always forget that the Telestial and Terrestial kingdoms are kingdoms of glory, not damnation. It behooves us not to judge, to offer love, support and comfort where we can and trust in the Lord.

This is serious jealousy you see going on from me. I want one of those stoves too! I can't wait. I have my entire kitchen better designed in our floor plans than any other area of the house except the library. A Theramdor, huh? Duly noted. I have got to get me one of those! Cooking is one of my favorite things to do!

Isn't that the truth. I swear Laura, Alvin and I laughed so hard that night it felt as if we had a whole new lease on life. My husband had had abdominal surgery just three weeks earlier and I kept worrying a little bit about him, but he was laughing just as hard and showing no pain -- it was great!

Have you read his book "Dark Angel"? I'm hoping to get to it today. That's if I get the chapter written in the book I'm currently working on.

Continue praying and then recommend some good books for them to read. Start them off small - perhaps Believing Christ by Robinson, which is a great book is a good place to start.

Realize that some people are content with skating along and might not be happy at the higher levels of spirituality that some of us wish to attain. In addition, timing is everything. Some people just aren't ready, but circumstances in their life later will make them open to teachings of the Spirit.

Study the gospel yourself and share with them things that enlighten you, ask for their opinions and let the teaching of the gospel go on that way. This is a good way to keep your friends close, enlighten you both and benefit others because of your diligence in studying.
