Cold Stone is also really good about giving gift certificates to Brownie/Girl Scout/Boy Scout troops for end of year parties and such. They usually have them behind the counter and if you ask, they're usually willing to give you s bunch!

My husband and I slipped outside one night last summer after the kids went to bed. We sat in the backyard and made s'mores using a little fire pit we bought. That was a great night. Didn't cost anything, we were alone, and we got to eat chocolate and marshmellows and didn't have to share! It's times like that they really stick out in my mind when I look back ....

Definately. And kids love giving to charity, they like how it makes them feel, they know they're doing something really great.

If it's hard for people to get motivated, try having a family clean out day and see who can come up with the most stuff.

Off the record, my older daughter was much more organized than I was when I first started staying home. I actually took some cues from her, the way she had things organized and such.

Funny how our kids can really teach us a thing or two!

Ebay! If you can get reasonable shipping, you can get almost new clothes for inexpensive prices. Sometimes, my daughter and I surf ebay and she picks out what she likes....last summer I got her a bunch of shorts and tops for $7.00. They were all almost new and in great condition!
