My boys father had abused and neglected them while I was deployed. My problem is that I am trying to take on the father roll and the mother roll and perhaps not focusing on the positives of being a parent in general. I have to be the good guy and the bad guy all rolled in one and it is quite exhausting. But They have their freedom, they have their chores, they have structure. Its a struggle to keep them doing the right thing though. Grounding helps a bit, but they has built up a resistance to chores lol. Parenting. The hardest of my 2 jobs. |
