His job was as a dog handler and his dog detected bombs. One spark from a ring could blow them both to smithereens. Add the flash from a gold band at night and you've got a dead giveaway when somebody wants to shoot you. I was glad (and preferred) that he didn't wear it. Now that he has a nice desk job, he does wear it but it does seem to act like a chick magnet now. Funny how women are attracted to men who can commit...
