Gospel Questions: What If I Want to Leave the Church? - Blog Entry

I know someone who converted fairly recently but now she doesn't attend church services and she's resumed smoking, drinking and coffee. She's been going through some pretty heavy physical and emotional issues too. How would you help somebody who was going through all of that?

Weight a Minute! Avoiding Exhaustion - Blog Entry

Tristi - what you have is a classic case of OVERtraining. If you do the same thing at the gym every day, then you're training the same muscles daily and they haven't had any "off" days to recover. Muscle recovery is vital to fitness and weight loss. This is why most exercise programs advise you to take a day off between training the same muscles (for instance training upper body on MWF and lower body on TTS or lifting weight MWF and doing aerobic work on TT).

Our muscles need a day of rest between workouts to recover and rebuild.

May I suggest you try doing the track and bike on separate days? By allowing your pedaling and walking muscles alternate days off, you'll probably find your weight loss happening much more quickly.
