Diet Soda or Regular? They'll both make you fat! - Blog Entry

Way to go, Ed! Boot Camp AND Spinning?! You're a dynamo! Watch that soda thought, it is probably working against you.

Tristy, good for you going off the carbonation! I've been off it since December 2001 and water has become such a habit now that I wouldn't dream of going back. It's like quitting smoking. You get over it to the point where you're don't want even a taste.

Are You an Overweight Mom? Get Some Sleep! - Blog Entry

Oatmeal is a great choice. It is loaded with fiber and isn't converted to sugar as readily as say a bagel ;-)

When you're taking care of a family and making sure that everyone else eats right, there rarely ever seems time to plan one's own meals a grabbing a handful of this or a bag of that gets to be pretty easy. i commend you on making healthy choices!

Are You an Overweight Mom? Get Some Sleep! - Blog Entry

Oh, absolutely! Our bodies are designed to keep us alive no matter how hard we fight it ;-) If we aren't sleeping enough, our body knows something is wrong and the only way to keep us going is to make us crave (and eat) the most energy dense foods we can find. It is instinctual for me, after a night of little to no sleep to have a high carbohydrate/high calorie (thus high energy) breakfast like a bagel with cream cheese. It's the only thing that makes me feel right. A low fat/low calorie breakfast will just make me angry. After a good night's sleep, a low calorie/low fat breakfast is quite satisfying.

I agree completely! We usually travel with a set of grandparents and an aunt so I love the villa concept.

Disney World: What's the Best Time of Year to Go? - Blog Entry

11 May 2007 07:46 AM

I used to work at Disney World, in their Central Reservations Office, and the Off Season is my favorite time to go because it is much less expensive to stay at the Disney resorts. Off Season is basically anytime when children would normally be in school: Fall (between Labor Day and Thanksgiving) and Winter (after New Year's but before Spring Breaks kick in). Anytime after Feb 1 and before Labor Day is pretty much considered High Season.
