Baklava-Crispy, Crunchy, Chewy-Delicious! - Blog Entry

I've always loved Baklava (it is better than chocolate truffles if you ask me). problem is, I have a violent reaction to sugar and honey and I've never seen it made without honey. Now that I have this recipe, I'm going to try a variation with Splenda and see what happens...

Very good information! It is important that people understand that we don't have or issue the coupons here but the Coupon DB is an excellent tool for creating that list of coupons you'd like to trade your Havelist for!

Survey Finds Some Feel Older Women Should Not Have Babies - Blog Entry

"yet another respondent felt that not only are we selfish and self-serving but we are creating a world in which our offsprings will have to choose between going to college and "staying home to change his/her parent's diapers."

As a woman who had her first child at 37 and plans to have another, God willing, I'd just like to say that the comment above is pretty ignorant. First of all it is amazingly selfish to not plan for your own retirement and simply expect your children to pick up your pieces as they begin to fall off. As for me and my husband, we've been responsible parents and have been saving for our son's college fund and our own retirement funds for years now. If anybody is going to be changing MY diapers, it'll be a stranger that is paid very well. My son's only choice will be which Ivy League college he wants to go to.

Flag Burning: Does Having the Right Make it Right? - Blog Entry

26 Aug 2006 09:01 PM

I joined the USAF during Desert Storm and served for 8 years. I realize that free speech is a right and flag burning is considered a form of speech but I hate it nevertheless. That aside, my biggest issue would be the safety issue. What person in their right mind starts a fire - any fire - in a classroom full of children! That is grossly irresponsible and the teacher should be removed simply for the fact that he endangered his students in not one but two classes!
